It all started in 2009, when Ben scraped together $13,000 to buy a major fixer-upper in a rough part of town. He lived at the property, which had no running water or heat, for the first 2 years while fixing it up and going to college through the bitter cold, Michigan winter.

He learned an incredible amount from that experience- not just about real estate investing and renovation, but about resilience and making his money work for him. Today, Ben holds over $3.3 million of real estate that houses 18 families and is deeply passionate about helping others learn to do the same!

Ben founded Blue Door Properties to help you learn how to invest in real estate. He also buys distressed properties that no one can live in and and fixes them up with the help of private money investors. He refinances the properties, pays off his investors, and continues holding the properties to provide beautiful housing for families in his beloved community.
